Health or wellness is about more than what happens in hospitals or at physicians’ offices.
The places – communities – where people live, learn, work, and play, the choices they make, and the opportunities they have all matter to their physical, mental, and social well-being.

That is why Dr. Phanta Sackor and her team at Public Health Liberia, Inc. are engaging all 15 counties and their local administrations for a partnership and collaboration in promoting awareness regarding Health Behaviors such as Tobacco Use, Diet and Exercise, Alcohol and Drug Use, and Sexual Activity.

Each step of the way, our team at Public Health Liberia will do the following:
- Engage a variety of stakeholders. We will harness the collective power of local leaders, partners, and community members, including those who experience the worst conditions for good health, is key to making change.
- Communicate. We will consider how we will get our most important messages to the people who matter. Have plans to communicate with others in your community, and with your partners, and put those plans in action.

Efforts to ensure that everyone—especially those disproportionately affected by poor health outcomes—has a say in their community health improvement work can help to close gaps in health outcomes and improve health for all.
